Advanced Printing Options

Describes the advanced printing options available in the Foxit PDF Editor print dialog.

Answer

Advanced Printing Options in Foxit PDF Editor allows you to optimize printing PDFs to paper by substituting text as graphic and utilizing Graphics Device Interface (GDI+) in Windows, which enables Foxit PDF Editor to transmit objects and text directly to the printer using GDI+ APIs.

Follow the steps as highlighted in the screenshot below to enable Advanced Printing Preferences.

In this article:

Windows:
  1. Go to File > Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences dialog, find "Print" in the left panel. Enable options "Print text as graphic (ignore font substitution)" and "Use GDI+ Output for all types of printer". Then click OK.
