Deploying Foxit PDF Editor Mobile via Microsoft Intune (iOS/iPadOS)

Explains how to deploy Foxit PDF Editor Mobile to iOS and iPadOS devices using Microsoft Intune.

Answer

Overview

Customers frequently ask where to download an IPA file for Foxit PDF Editor Mobile to deploy through Microsoft Intune. There is no standalone IPA available for download. For iOS/iPadOS, the correct deployment method is to add the app as a managed iOS Store App in Microsoft Intune — no IPA file is required.

There are two Foxit mobile apps relevant to Intune environments:

App App Store ID Use Case
Foxit PDF Editor 507040546 Standard mobile app with built-in Intune MAM support (added in recent versions)
Foxit PDF Editor Intune 1436805630 Dedicated Intune-SDK-wrapped build with expanded MAM policy controls for enterprise-managed environments

For organizations requiring full Mobile Application Management (MAM) policy enforcement, Foxit PDF Editor Intune is the recommended app.

  • Step 1: Add the App in Microsoft Intune
    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center: https://intune.microsoft.com
    2. Navigate to Apps > iOS/iPadOS > Add
    3. Under App type, select iOS Store app, then click Select
    4. Click Search the App Store
    5. Search for "Foxit PDF Editor" and select the result
(Alternatively, use App Store ID: 1436805630)
    6. Review the app details and click Next
    7. Configure Scope tags as needed, then click Next
    8. Under Assignments, assign the app to the appropriate user or device groups
    9. Click Next, review the configuration, and click Create

Step 2: Configure App Protection Policies (MAM)After deploying the app, apply an App Protection Policy to enforce data loss prevention controls:
    1. In Intune admin center, go to Apps > App protection policies > Create policy > iOS/iPadOS
    2. On the Apps tab, add Foxit PDF Editor Intune as a targeted app
    3. Configure data protection settings as needed, such as:
      • Restrict cut, copy, and paste to managed apps only
      • Require PIN or corporate credentials on launch
      • Block screen capture
      • Require managed browser for web links
      • Prevent backup to iCloud
    4. Assign the policy to the appropriate user groups and save
For full policy configuration guidance, refer to Microsoft's documentation:

Why There Is No IPA FileApple's iOS/iPadOS platform does not support sideloading of public App Store apps via IPA outside of Apple Business Manager (ABM) or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program. Foxit PDF Editor Intune is distributed through the public App Store, so the correct enterprise distribution method is through Intune's managed iOS Store App workflow — consistent with how all Intune-managed App Store apps are deployed.
    Additional Notes
    • Android: Foxit PDF Editor is available on the Google Play Store and supports Intune MAM. Deployment follows a similar managed store app workflow via Intune for Android.
    • Conditional Access: For device-compliance-based Conditional Access, ensure devices are enrolled in Intune (MDM enrollment required, not MAM-only). Foxit PDF Editor supports brokered authentication for Conditional Access environments.
    • MIP/AIP: Both Foxit PDF Editor and Foxit PDF Editor Intune support Microsoft Information Protection for document-level protection.
