Foxit eSign now supports displaying the complete Signer ID on both the Signature Certificate and signed documents. This enhancement helps organizations meet compliance and audit requirements by improving signer traceability and visibility. This feature is especially beneficial for customers operating in regulated industries, including organizations following FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
Overview
Previously, Foxit eSign truncated the Signer ID when displayed on Signature Certificates and signed documents. For example:

What’s Included
This enhancement includes:
Full Signer ID on Signature Certificates
The complete Signer ID is displayed on generated Signature Certificates.
Full Signer ID on Signed Documents
The complete Signer ID is also displayed directly on signed documents, including signature and initials stamps.
Single Company-Level Setting
A single Company Setting controls this behaviour across both areas:
- Signature Certificate
- Signed Document
This ensures a consistent experience and maintains backward compatibility for organizations that prefer the previous behaviour.
How It WorksWhen the Company Setting is enabled:
- Full Signer IDs are displayed on all newly generated Signature Certificates.
- Full Signer IDs are displayed on all newly signed documents.
- Existing previously signed documents and certificates remain unchanged.
When the setting is disabled:
- Foxit eSign continues using the previous truncated Signer ID format.
Note:
- No action is required for customers who want to continue using the existing truncated format.
