An issue about DEP exploit has come to our attention recently.
Summary of the Issue: Foxit PDF Editor 11.2 users that have Sophos (or potentially other anti-virus software) installed and sign into Foxit eSign within the application could receive a DEP (data execution prevention) exploit message from the anti-virus software after they enter their Foxit credentials. It's important to note: This was reported internally and we are not aware of any reports from external users.
Here are the screenshots of the issue:
Impact: This issue appears to only impact non-enterprise users of Foxit eSign or possibly new Foxit PDF Editor subscription users that log in through the Foxit eSign workflow.
Resolution: A new Foxit eSign plugin has been created to fix this issue. The plug-in can be located here or installed via Help > About Foxit PDF Editor > Check for Update within the application.
