WelcomeConsole Workspace Overview
The Console is divided into two main sections, the Navigation Pane, and the Work Area.
- Highlighted in Red is the Navigation Panel where you can quickly jump to the different areas of the console.
- Highlighted in Purple is the Work Area where you perform actions.
Foxit Admin Console Quick Start1. Create Additional Admins (optional)
An enterprise can have one super admin and several other admins (including System Administrator, Product Administrator, Deployment Administrator, etc.) to perform management in the Console.
The super admin is the first person that gets access to the Console, this admin sits at the top of all other admin roles, and can perform all tasks in the Admin Console
Learn more about the different admin roles here.

2. Firewall & Proxy
Access to Foxit products require the client computers to access Foxit's servers. For these features to work, ensure that your firewall and proxy setup allows access to the following endpoints:
- *.connectedpdf.com
- *.foxit.com
- *.foxitcloud.com
- *.foxitsoftware.com
3. Setup Single-Sign-On (SSO/SAML) (optional but recommended)
SAML single sign-on allows your users to log in using your organization's identity provider (Microsoft, Google, Okta, PingIdentity... etc) to access all your Foxit applications.
- With SSO enabled: users will activate Foxit's products and services using the SSO Login button, Microsoft, Google or relevant platform icon. When SSO is configured on the account, users will automatically be redirected through SSO login if they try to type email/password.
- Without SSO enabled: users will use their Foxit Account to activate Foxit's products and services. If you are not setting up SSO, please skip to section 4, “Assign License/Product to users”.
- The sign in window can be customized to show the necessary SSO icons or get rid of them altogether. Please see more details on section 5, “Customizing the PDF Editor for your Organization”.
Verify Domain
The organization’s domain will need to be verified so it can be added to the Directory Settings.
To setup SSO, navigate to the Settings Tab and click on Directory Setting, then select your IdP from the list below for a step-by-step guide.
Please note, some IdPs offer different methods of license assignment. We highly recommend choosing either Automatic License Provisioning OR User Sync Configuration only. Enabling both Sync and Provision Settings at the same time will cause integration issues.
- Entra ID SSO/SAML and Automatic License Provisioning (formerly Azure) OR
- Entra ID SSO/SAML and Manual User Sync Configuration (formerly Azure)
- JumpCloud SSO/SAML Configuration
- JumpCloud Automatic License Provisioning OR
- JumpCloud (SAML SSO 2.0) user sync configuration
- Okta SSO/SAML Configuration
- Okta Automatic License Provisioning OR
- Okta (SAML SSO 2.0) User Sync Configuration
- OneLogin SSO/SAML Configuration
- Automatically Provision Licenses for OneLogin OR
- OneLogin (SAML SSO 2.0) User Sync Configuration
- CyberArk Workforce Identity (formerly Idaptive) SSO/SAML Configuration
- CyberArk Workforce Identity (formerly Idaptive) User Sync Configuration
Got a different Idp? No problem, the Console uses SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between identity providers. Simply Verify your Domain and see Other Connectors here.
4. Assign License/Product to users
If you have followed the SSO steps for Automatic License Provisioning above, you are good to go! If you are using Foxit Accounts (email/password) or manual User Sync, please follow the guide below to assign licenses.
5. Customizing the PDF Editor for your Organization
The Foxit PDF Editor can be customized before it is deployed to all users. The sign-in window can be customized before users open the PDF Editor, custom stamps can be deployed and more! Start with the Customization Wizard guide to see how to personalize the Foxit PDF Editor for your organization:

6. Tuning for Virtual Environments and Deployment
Tuning helps mitigate performance issues, simplifies the end user experience, and allows you to disable features and behaviors that should not be accessible to end users in an IT-managed environment.
Set up profile redirection. User profile data in roaming folder as well as the HKCU hive must sync to the VM instance on which the user logs in.
Admins should ensure that such data is saved on user logout or disconnect. Some systems provide VM tools. At a minimum, sync the following:
- Roaming Folder:
- C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Foxit Software
- HKCU hive:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Foxit Software
