Lists the new features, improvements, and fixes included in the July 2026 release of Foxit eSign.
Answer
This month's updates give administrators more control over sending options and document uploads, add language support to email template migration, and clear up a set of issues affecting mobile signing.
- Restrict Role-Based Overrides in Advanced Sending Options
- Language Support for Email Template Migration
- Admin Control for Third-Party Cloud Repository Uploads
- API Access Now Managed Through the Foxit API Portal
- Zeal ID Signature Validation Fixed
- Conditional Field Logic in Online Forms Fixed
- Improved Form and Signing Experience on Mobile Browsers
- Checkbox Field Placement After Saving Fixed
Administrators can now decide which user roles are allowed to override account-level defaults for Reminder & Expiration and Delegate Signing at send time.
- New controls sit on the Reminder and Expiration and the Sending/Signing settings pages
- The restriction can be applied to Regular User, Admin, and Super Admin separately
- Senders in a restricted role see the account defaults as read-only text rather than editable fields
- Both controls are off by default, so nothing changes until an administrator turns them on
Email template import and export now handles Notification email templates in multiple languages.
- Each Notification email template carries its language in the export file
- On import, the language is read and the matching template is updated.
- Multilingual template sets can be moved between accounts without rebuilding them
Organization administrators can now switch off Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, and OneDrive as places to upload from or save to.
- Three separate settings cover document uploads, template uploads, and saving completed documents
- When a setting is off, the cloud provider icons are hidden from the relevant upload and save screens
- Uploading from a device and drag-and-drop are not affected
- All three are on by default, on every plan, and are set at the organization level
eSign Business customers now purchase and manage API access through the Foxit API Portal.
- Accounts that never activated API access no longer see the option to generate credentials in API settings
- The API settings page points new customers to the Foxit API Portal instead
- Accounts that already hold API credentials keep them, and existing integrations carry on working.

Documents signed with Zeal ID were being flagged as having an invalid signature. This has been fixed.
- The Zeal ID scan no longer runs twice during signing
- Signatures validate correctly once signing is complete
- The problem affected every document with Zeal ID signing enabled
An issue where conditional fields in online forms appeared no matter which option the recipient selected has been resolved.
- Dependent fields now appear only when their condition is met
- Applies to online forms built from templates
A group of issues affecting form completion in mobile browsers on iOS and Android have been fixed.
- Signature and initials fields now show both Draw and Type options rather than defaulting to Draw
- Change Name under More Actions works again
- Font sizes set on the web now match what appears on mobile
- PDFs stay sharp when zoomed
- Tapping a field and typing no longer triggers unstable magnification or automatic zoom
Checkbox fields were shifting out of position once a completed document was saved. This has been fixed.
- Checkboxes stay where they were originally placed
- Checkmarks no longer appear scattered across the page on completed documents
