  • Foxit PDF Reader for windows:
    Starting from version V2025.2, a native 64-bit installer is available, while a 32-bit installer is still provided.

Note: On 64-bit operating systems, users can install either the 64-bit or 32-bit package. However, on 32-bit operating systems, only the 32-bit installer is compatible.

1.Stay on the 32-bit Version:
Users on older 32-bit versions will continue to receive in-app updates to the latest 32-bit releases (e.g., v2025.2 or v14). There will be no automatic transition to the 64-bit version.
2. Switch to the 64-bit Version:
If users wish to switch to the 64-bit version, they can manually download and install the 64-bit installer by referring to this article.
Once installed, future updates will remain on the 64-bit version.

Why Can't Users Be Automatically Updated to the 64-bit Version?

All existing users are currently on the 32-bit version of Foxit PDF Editor or Foxit PDF Reader.
