Short answer

From Foxit Workspace on the web, open your account menu (bottom-left) and click Downloads -- it shows the installer for your operating system. Desktop is required for some features, including Connectors.

  1. Open Foxit Workspace in your browser and click your profile in the bottom-left corner.
  2. Click Downloads.
  3. Click the installer shown for your operating system to start the download.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows (x64) is supported today, including the downloaded installer:

The filename pattern is foxit-workspace-v[version]-build-[build id]-[platform]-[arch].msi -- the current version is 0.1.3, build af140982. macOS support is also expected, with separate builds planned for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

What happens when I run the installer?
  1. The Foxit Workspace Setup wizard opens. On the Destination Folder step, click Next to install to the default location (C:\Program Files\Foxit Workspace\) or Change to pick another folder.

  1. Continue through the wizard and click Finish. Leave Launch Foxit Workspace checked to open the app right away.

  1. Foxit Workspace opens as its own application window (not a browser tab) to the same "Do more with documents" landing page. Click Get Started.

  1. Sign in with your Foxit Account, the same way as on the web -- email and password, SSO Login, or a supported identity provider.

  1. After sign-in, a brief SSO handoff screen appears.

  1. You land on the same Foxit Workspace dashboard as the web version, now running as a native desktop app.

Why would I need the desktop app instead of the web version?

Most of Foxit Workspace works the same in your browser. Connectors (linking apps like Atlassian, Asana, Notion, HubSpot, or Fireflies) are desktop-only -- the web version's Connectors tab just links you to download the desktop app instead of letting you configure connectors directly.
