Short answer

Foxit PDF Editor Desktop has a Workspace button on the Home tab of the ribbon, and again as the first item on the AI Assistant tab. Clicking either one opens Foxit Workspace in your default web browser, so you can jump into AI Workspace without separately navigating to a URL.

Applies to: Foxit PDF Editor Desktop (Windows), version 2026.2 and later.Where is the Workspace button?

There are two places to find it, and both open the same experience:

  • On the Home tab of the ribbon, it's the last item on the right, after Fill & Sign -- a sparkle icon labeled Workspace.
  • On the AI Assistant tab of the ribbon, it's the first item on the left, before AI Chat.

How do I open Foxit Workspace from Foxit PDF Editor?
  1. Open Foxit PDF Editor Desktop. If you don't see the Workspace button, check for and install any available update first.
  2. On the Home tab, click Workspace.
  3. Foxit PDF Editor opens your default browser to the Foxit Workspace landing page ("Do more with documents"). Click Get Started.

  1. Sign in with your Foxit Account -- by email and password, via SSO Login for enterprise single sign-on, or with a supported identity provider (Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Facebook, and others).

  1. After signing in, you land on your Foxit Workspace dashboard, where you can open an existing project or create a new one.

Do I need to install anything else to use Workspace this way?

No -- this path opens Workspace in your browser, the same web experience available at the Workspace URL directly. If you'd rather use a native desktop client instead of (or in addition to) the browser, see How Do I Download the Foxit Workspace Desktop App?
