You can pre-configure this setting for all end users by following the steps below (using export PDF to Word as an example):

1. First, on a device where Foxit PDF Editor has already been installed, go to File > Export > To MS Office > Word > Save as. In the pop-up "Save as" window, click the Settings button. In the subsequent "Save As DOCX Settings" window, you can set the options according to your needs. For example, check the "Convert to editable documents" option, click "Set Languages" to set the languages used for exporting, then click OK OK buttons to save the settings.


The configuration made in the first step will be saved in the following registry entries:

  • For Foxit version 2023: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\Continuous\Pdf2Other
  • For Foxit version 13: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\Classic\Pdf2Other
  • For Foxit version 12 and 11: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\Pdf2Other

2. Export the registry settings:

  • Open the Registry Editor by typing 'regedit' into the Windows search box and hitting Enter.
  • Navigate to the path specified above, depending on your Foxit version.
  • Right-click on the 'Pdf2Other' folder and select 'Export'. Choose a location to save the .reg file.


3.Import the registry settings to all users, use your deployment tool to distribute this .reg file to all users. When the users run this file, it will update their registry with the preconfigured settings.
