Click on the ' Generate' button on the page below to generate a Client ID and secret. Fill in the remaining information, as shown in the screenshot below:
  3. The next step is granting permissions to the newly created principal. Since we’re granting tenant-scoped permissions, this can only be done via the appinv.aspx page on the tenant administration site.

You can reach this site via https://contoso-admin.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/appinv.aspx.
Replace Contoso with your tenant’s name. Once the page is loaded, add your Client ID, and look up the created principal:

  4. To grant permissions, you will need to provide the permission XML that describes the required permissions. Since this application needs to be able to access all sites + also uses search with app-only, it needs the following permissions:

5. You’ll be presented with a permission consent dialog when you click on the create button. Press the ‘Trust It’ button to grant the permissions:

Step 2
  1. Get App Catalog URL for SharePoint tenant. Follow the steps below to get the app catalog URL
  2. Navigate to your Tenant Administration site, usually located at https:// -admin.sharepoint.com
  3. Click on ' More Features' in the left navigation
  4. Click on the ' Open' button under the Apps section
  5. Click on the 'App Catalog' link on the Apps page.
  6. You will be redirected to your tenant app catalog site if it’s already been created. Otherwise, you’ll be given the option to create an app catalog.

SharePoint Integration Discontinuation:

Due to Microsoft’s retirement of the Azure Access Control Service (Azure ACS) the authentication framework required for our integration within Microsoft 365, the Foxit eSign SharePoint integration will be discontinued on April 2, 2026.

After this date, you will no longer be able to initiate signature requests or complete eSign actions from within SharePoint. Your standalone Foxit eSign account and external workflows will not be impacted.

Recommended Actions

  • Review SharePoint-dependent workflows and plan alternatives before the cutoff date.
  • Work with your IT team to update any custom implementations to avoid disruption.

We can help you assess your usage and discuss alternative approaches, such as custom API integrations or Foxit Connectors.

Please contact Support or your Foxit account representative to discuss the best transition path for your environment.
