Stop Foxit from Saving Recent Document History

Explains how to prevent Foxit PDF Editor from saving the list of recently opened documents.

Answer

In Foxit app settings:

1. Click on the File tab at the top left corner, then select Preferences.
2. Choose History, set the "Maximum number of documents in Recent Documents list" to 0, and click OK to apply the changes.


Disabling Recent Document Feature During Installation Using Foxit Customization Wizard Tool (FCW):

1. Download the FCW tool for the same version of Foxit PDF Editor or Foxit PDF Reader from Available Foxit Customization Wizard Tools for Foxit PDF Editor for Windows version (site.com)
2. Open the FCW tool and load the corresponding Foxit MSI file.
3. Click on Ribbon Set, then select File on the right panel, expand Open, check Recent Document, and click Save.


4. Install your software using the command line like msiexec /i "E:\soft\Editor\FoxitPDFEditor1211_L10N_Setup.msi" /norestart /qn TRANSFORMS="E:\soft\Editor\FoxitPDFEditor1211_L10N_Setup_FCT.mst" /log c:\1.log
5. After installation, the Recent Document feature will no longer display your documents.
